Don Concepción Villatoro Matias first purchased the farm in 1990, while over time purchasing more parcels of surrounding land to plant more Bourbon and Caturra varietal coffee plants. The coffee plants are enjoying the shade provided by the partnering Grevillea and Chalum trees.
